So Oppo is dropping the F31 series in India on Sept 15. Three phones – the Oppo F31 Pro+, Oppo F31 Pro, and just the plain F31. Honestly, this time it doesn’t feel like just another “spec dump” launch. Oppo is trying to sell it as phones that will actually survive Indian life – dust, heat, long work days, weak signals.
The big flex? All three have 7000 mAh batteries. That’s huge. And they’re giving 80W fast charging too, so even if you forget to charge overnight, you’re fine in the morning. I also like the bypass charging feature (it runs the phone directly when gaming, so the battery doesn’t overheat). Smart.
The Pro+ is the top dog – Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, AMOLED, premium build. The Pro runs on the Dimensity 7300, which is positioned as the middle ground. The base model has Dimensity 6300 Energy, more for students or budget buyers. But even that one comes in fun colors like red and green, which makes it look less boring.
Oppo keeps saying these phones will stay “smooth for 6 years”. That’s a bold claim. They even have this one-click rejuvenation button – like a refresh for your phone if it starts feeling laggy. If it actually works, that’s something I’d love to see other brands copy.
One underrated thing – the signal tech. Oppo added antennas all around the phone and its own chip to reduce call drops and make payments smoother. Anyone who’s struggled to get a UPI payment through in a low-network area knows how important that is.
My take: if Oppo really delivers on durability + smoothness + big battery, the Oppo F31 series might actually stand out. It’s not flashy like an iPhone, but it feels made for people who just want a phone that won’t die on them in a couple of years.
