🚀 Tech News Roundup: OnePlus 15 Launch & Google Clock App Bug
OnePlus is launching its flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15, in China this October. This device is shaping up to be one of the brand’s most gaming-focused smartphones yet. It’s set to offer the best gaming performance among all gaming phones.
Equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the phone boasts up to 20% faster CPU and 23% better GPU performance than its predecessor. Initial benchmarks show Geekbench multi-core scores of around 11,000, and its Antutu score is 4.0M+, making it one of the most powerful devices of 2025.
The device has a 6.78-inch BOE X3 Oriental AMOLED display that supports a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz, significantly higher than the OnePlus 13’s 120Hz refresh rate. Top games like Call of Duty Mobile, Delta Force, and League of Legends: Wild Rift will be able to run at 165 fps, making it a dream for gamers and exciting to feel their performance.
Other rumored highlights include ColorOS 16, ultra-slim bezels, a 7,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging, and pricing expected below the OnePlus 13’s launch price of CNY 4,499 (~$630). A global launch is expected in early 2026, setting up strong competition with the Xiaomi 17 series and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Google Clock App Bug Confuses Smartwatch Users
In other news, a strange bug has hit Google’s Clock app on Wear OS smartwatches. Owners of the Galaxy Watch and OnePlus Watch report that the app is now incompatible on the Play Store, with some users seeing the Install button completely disappear.
Interestingly, the issue does not affect Pixel watches or the smartphone version of the app. Attempts to sideload the APK have failed, leaving users without a proper fix. This has led to speculation that Google might make the Clock app Pixel-exclusive, but no official word has been given.
For now, affected smartwatch owners will need to wait until Google rolls out an official patch.
