Apple September 2025 event
Apple’s highly anticipated fall event is just around the corner, and excitement is building for what promises to be a standout showcase. The spotlight will firmly be on the brand-new iPhone 17 series, but that’s far from all. Apple is expected to unveil a fresh lineup of hardware, including new smartwatches and earbuds, at this much-awaited event.
Set against the iconic backdrop of Apple Park in Cupertino, California, the event begins at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET), with the company streaming it live on its official YouTube channel and Apple.com. Fans and followers will be able to catch every announcement, and coverage will be detailed on GSMArena.com.
Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3, and SE 3
Typically kicking off its fall event with Apple Watch reveals, this year will be no different. After skipping an update for the Watch Ultra in 2024, this time Apple plans to introduce the Apple Watch Ultra 3. Expect a larger, brighter display with reduced bezels and an efficient always-on mode inspired by last year’s Series 10. Notably, the Ultra 3 will likely offer pioneering 5G connectivity and satellite messaging, allowing users to stay connected even without cellular coverage.
The Apple Watch Series 11 will focus on incremental improvements, including potential high blood pressure detection. Meanwhile, the Apple Watch SE 3 is rumored to bring performance parity with flagship models for the first time.
All three models might debut Apple’s first in-house Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip, marking a significant step forward in wireless technology within the lineup.
AirPods 3 Pro
Anticipation is also high for the AirPods 3 Pro, expected to make their debut alongside the other devices. These buds will pack the new H3 chip and introduce health sensors to monitor heart rate and temperature, integrating closely with the Apple Watch for enhanced workout tracking. A live translation feature is also rumored, promising real-time language assistance.
iPhone 17 Family
The centerpiece of the event is undoubtedly the iPhone 17 series, which will include four models: the base iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a new addition—the iPhone 17 Air, replacing the classic Plus variant.
The iPhone 17 Air could steal the show with its groundbreaking design. At just 5.5mm thick, it’ll be the slimmest iPhone ever, replacing the 6.9mm iPhone 16 from 2014. This thinness comes with compromises, like a single 48MP rear camera and potentially a smaller battery, though there are whispers of a new higher-density battery technology that might offset this.
Rumors also suggest the Air and possibly the base iPhone 17 will sport 120Hz displays, with the base model’s screen growing to 6.3 inches to match the smaller Pro.
The Pro models will debut a new horizontal glass camera island stretching across the back’s width, housing upgraded optics like a 48MP zoom sensor replacing the usual 12MP, delivering much-improved digital zoom. Under the hood, these phones will feature Apple’s latest 3nm A19 Pro chip and, for the first time ever on an iPhone, 12GB of RAM, promising a performance boost particularly in AI tasks.
The Pro displays are also rumored to get an anti-glare coating similar to iPads and premium Samsung phones.
Apple will also introduce brand-new TechWoven cases, addressing past complaints about their previous woven cases.
Finally, the new iOS 26 will debut, showcasing a “Liquid Glass” visual redesign promising a fresh and modern user interface.
What’s Not Expected
While there’s buzz around other Apple products like a second-generation HomePod mini, Apple TV 4K refresh, and AirTag updates, they are unlikely to appear at this event. Fans may have to wait until separate events later in the year or in 2026 for those releases.
Overall, Apple’s September 2025 event looks set to deliver a wealth of exciting hardware across multiple categories, with the iPhone 17 series as the undeniable highlight.
