SpaceX Set for 11th Starship Test Flight on Monday
SpaceX is ready to launch its Starship rocket for the 11th test flight from Starbase, Texas, on Monday. The launch window opens at 7:15 PM ET (October 13), and you can catch the live broadcast 30 minutes before liftoff on the SpaceX website and X (formerly Twitter).
This mission comes after a successful August test, where Starship deployed eight dummy Starlink satellites into orbit — a big step after an earlier failed attempt. For Flight 11, SpaceX will once again test eight Starlink simulators and gather new performance data.

The rocket will lift off using a reused Super Heavy booster, equipped with 33 Raptor engines — 24 of which have already flown before. This mission’s focus is on testing the next-gen booster design, evaluating the Starship heat shield, and practicing advanced flight maneuvers for future missions that return to the launch site.
Unlike previous attempts, SpaceX won’t try to catch the Super Heavy booster using its giant “chopsticks” arms. Instead, the booster will land in the Gulf of Mexico, while Starship will splash down in the Indian Ocean.
A crucial step forward — each test brings SpaceX closer to making Starship’s dream of reusable space travel a reality.
