Galaxy S26 Price Rumors: What to Expect for the S26, S26+ (or Edge), and Ultra
We’re inching closer to the expected launch of the Galaxy S26 series, likely in January 2026, and naturally, the question on everyone’s mind is: how much will they cost?
Last year, Samsung surprised us by freezing Galaxy S25 prices, despite rumors of a hike. Reports suggested Samsung absorbed rising chip costs, possibly by leaning more on its Exynos chips instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon. Now, however, early hints from the supply chain (including TSMC’s chip pricing) suggest we might finally see an increase.

Will There Be a Price Hike?
Right now, nothing is confirmed. Some leaks say Samsung might raise prices by $50–$100 per model, while others believe the company will hold steady to remain competitive against Apple and Google. The iPhone 17 series mostly held its ground, with only the Pro model seeing a bump thanks to increased base storage. Google’s Pixel 10 lineup also kept last year’s pricing.
If Samsung raises prices, the Galaxy S26 could look something like this (without hikes, same as S25):
-
Galaxy S26 (base model) – $799
-
Galaxy S26+ or Edge – $999
-
Galaxy S26 Ultra – $1,199
Of course, Samsung could surprise us again and keep prices flat, especially if it prioritizes market share over margin.
Edge or Plus? Or Both?
For months, rumors claimed Samsung would drop the Plus model in favor of a slimmer Edge. But recent leaks suggest the Plus isn’t going anywhere, meaning we could see both devices alongside the regular S26 and the Ultra. If true, prices would likely stay in line with the S25 lineup, with the Edge slotting into the same ballpark.

Competition & Market Strategy
Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1,099, while Google’s Pixel 10 Pro sits at $999. Samsung has to tread carefully: raising S26 prices too much could turn buyers toward iPhones or Pixels. That’s why trade-in offers, preorder bonuses (like free storage upgrades), and carrier promotions will play a huge role when the S26 family launches.
The Bottom Line
We’re still months away, and concrete leaks usually appear just weeks before launch. For now, expect Samsung to either stick to S25 pricing or introduce a modest $50–$100 increase, depending on chip costs and model strategy. Either way, if you’re planning to upgrade, Samsung’s preorder deals will likely be the best time to lock in extra storage or discounts.
