RedMagic 11 Pro Review: The Coolest Phone Yet — In Every Sense

The RedMagic 11 Pro isn’t just a “cool” smartphone — it’s literally one of the coolest devices we’ve ever tested. This beast introduces the world’s first real liquid cooling system in a phone, setting new standards for temperature control and gaming performance.

But that’s not all. RedMagic also packs in its signature active cooling fan and the largest vapor chamber found in any smartphone to date — all working together to unleash the full might of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.

    A Look That Turns Heads

The RedMagic 11 Pro instantly stands out with its flat, transparent back, showing off the swirling blue cooling liquid inside. Combined with an under-display selfie camera and sleek aluminum edges, it’s one of the most futuristic designs we’ve seen in years.

As a gaming-focused phone, it includes all the right hardware:
a 144Hz OLED display, ultra-fast 3000Hz touch sampling, capacitive shoulder triggers, RGB lighting, and a massive 7,500mAh battery — the biggest we’ve ever seen on a smartphone. It’s built for players who refuse to pause.

    Quick Pros and Cons

    What we love

    • Best-in-class battery life

    • Blazing-fast Snapdragon performance

    • Distinctive, transparent design and liquid cooling

    What could be better

    • Average camera system

    • Bold gamer aesthetic might not suit everyone

    Overall Rating: 8.3 / 10
(About 13% higher than average for its price range)

Design and Display: Futuristic Yet Refined

We’ve entered a time when most flagship phones look the same — curved glass, centered cameras, and safe colors. RedMagic breaks that trend completely.

The Subzero edition we tested has a flat, silver-metal finish with no camera bump at all. Under the glass, you’ll find detailed metallic textures, the spinning fan, Snapdragon branding, and the glowing RGB logo.

Despite all that hardware, the RGB lighting remains tasteful and minimal — just hints of glow around the fan, logo, and triggers. A 3.5mm headphone jack, game-mode slider, and solid aluminum frame round out the premium build.

You can pick from three colors — Cryo, Nightfreeze, and Subzero — all with slightly different finishes but the same aggressive flair.

Inside the box, you’ll find an 80W charger, USB-C cable, a case, and a pre-applied screen protector — something rare these days.

    Display Performance

At the front sits a stunning 6.85-inch OLED panel (2688×1216 resolution) with a dynamic 1–120Hz refresh rate and up to 144Hz in games. The display, made by BOE using its new X10 material, reaches an incredible 2,211 nits peak brightness, ensuring visibility even under harsh sunlight.

Colors are accurate, contrast is deep, and the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor works lightning-fast. Face unlock is available, though it’s less secure due to the under-display camera.

Camera: Good Enough, But Not Great

Gaming phones rarely lead in photography, and the RedMagic 11 Pro is no exception. It packs a 50MP main sensor and another 50MP ultra-wide lens, but no dedicated telephoto camera.

Photos from the main shooter are detailed and color-accurate in daylight, while the ultra-wide performs decently though struggles in low light. Zoom shots, however, are purely digital and noticeably soft.

Video quality is serviceable — 4K@60fps looks best, though 8K recording is available. Stabilization is solid, but the overall image lacks the dynamic range of rivals like Samsung, Apple, or Google.

    Performance: Ice-Cold Speed

This is where the RedMagic 11 Pro truly shines. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, it achieves top-tier benchmark scores that rival (and sometimes surpass) the iPhone 17 Pro Max in multi-core tests.

The phone’s cooling system — featuring a 24,000-rpm fan, a 13,116mm² vapor chamber, and an innovative liquid loop — keeps temperatures impressively low even during long gaming sessions.

Performance stability reached 85% in the 3DMark stress test — a number most phones can’t even approach. The fan is a bit noisy, but it’s worth it for consistent frame rates and zero throttling.

You can choose up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage, making it ideal for hardcore gamers and multitaskers alike.

    Software: Built for Players

Running RedMagic OS 11 on Android 16, the phone delivers a clean interface with smart additions like fan control, Game Space, and AI features.

The physical Game Mode slider launches a dedicated hub showing installed titles, FPS stats, and even a digital assistant named Mora. There’s also RedMagic AI+, offering smart tools like AI wallpapers, summary generation, and privacy filters.

Google’s Gemini AI is integrated for quick commands and smart assistance. Software updates include three major Android versions and up to five years of support in Europe.

    Battery Life: A New Champion

The RedMagic 11 Pro’s 7,500mAh silicon-carbon battery redefines endurance. It outlasts every modern flagship, scoring 10h 43m in testing — the best battery life we’ve seen in two years.

Real-world use confirms it: two days of power for normal use or 12+ hours of non-stop gaming on a single charge. With 80W wired charging, you can reach 70% in 30 minutes and a full charge in under an hour. Wireless charging is supported too, a rarity for gaming phones.

    Audio & Haptics

Dual stereo speakers are impressively loud and clear, with minimal distortion. Bass feels strong, and the inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack is a welcome touch.

Haptics are sharp, precise, and well-tuned — exactly what competitive gamers need for instant feedback.

    Verdict: Should You Buy It?

The RedMagic 11 Pro is a powerhouse that delivers unmatched speed, exceptional battery life, and a design that looks straight out of the future.

Its camera system and limited long-term software updates hold it back slightly, but for performance lovers — especially gamers — this phone is an absolute dream.

At a starting price of $699 ($749 in the U.S.), it’s a seriously tempting alternative to mainstream flagships like the Galaxy S25 Ultra or iPhone 17 Pro Max, even if you’re not into gaming.
