OnePlus 15 and Ace 6 Could Launch with 165Hz Ultra-Smooth Displays – News (Upcoming Mobiles)
Just after Apple finally introduced 120Hz screens with the iPhone 17 series, OnePlus is already preparing to raise the bar. Company president Li Jie Louis recently shared on Weibo that the brand’s next flagships will debut with an even faster refresh rate, aiming to deliver the smoothest visuals yet.
According to early reports, both the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Ace 6 are expected to feature 165Hz AMOLED displays with 1.5K resolution. That’s a significant leap, not only for day-to-day navigation but also for gamers who want higher frame rates, quicker response times, and minimal lag.

Louis compared this moment to 2019, when the OnePlus 7 Pro introduced higher refresh displays that quickly became an industry standard. He hinted that the new models could do the same, potentially making 165Hz the next big trend in smartphone displays.
Both devices are tipped to launch in October 2025 in China, powered by Qualcomm’s latest processors: the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for the OnePlus 15 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Ace 6.
If true, OnePlus could once again be setting a benchmark for how smooth a smartphone can feel — and history suggests other brands won’t be far behind.
