India ने आज semiconductor world में एक बड़ा कदम उठाया है। Gujarat के Sanand शहर में देश की पहली end-to-end OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly & Test) Pilot Line Facility का शुभारंभ हुआ। इस facility को Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw और Gujarat के CM Bhupendra Patel ने मिलकर inaugurate किया।
क्यों है यह बड़ा कदम?
ये facility भारत को chip packaging, testing और assembly में आत्मनिर्भर बनाएगी। अभी तक ज्यादातर chips बाहर से आते थे, लेकिन अब भारत खुद उन्हें design और test कर पाएगा। Minister Vaishnaw ने कहा – “ये Bharat को global semiconductor hub बनाने की दिशा में एक historic शुरुआत है।”

Talent की बड़ी कमी और भारत का मौका
By 2032, दुनिया को करीब 1 million semiconductor experts की कमी होगी।
India इस gap को भरने की तैयारी कर रहा है।
सरकार ने 270 universities को advanced chip design tools दिए हैं।
सिर्फ 2025 में ही इन tools का 1.2 करोड़ बार उपयोग हुआ।
Mohali के SCL में 20 student-designed chips पहले ही बन चुके हैं।
इससे साफ है कि भारत का youth आने वाले समय में semiconductor field का global leader बन सकता है।

Gujarat बनेगा Semiconductor Hub
Sanand की CG Semi facility सिर्फ शुरुआत है।
G1 Plant (launch हो चुका है) → capacity 0.5 million chips/day, commercial production 2026 में शुरू होगा।
G2 Plant (निर्माणाधीन) → capacity 14.5 million chips/day, पूरा होगा 2026 के end तक।
दोनों मिलकर 5,000+ jobs देंगे और India को chip making में आत्मनिर्भर बनाएंगे।

Why SiC Wafers are the Future 🚀
Government अब India Semiconductor Mission 2.0 (ISM 2.0) ला रही है। इसका main focus होगा – Silicon Carbide (SiC) wafers।
क्यों?
ये wafers high temperature, voltage और frequency में काम करते हैं।
इनके उपयोग होंगे –
Electric Vehicles (EVs)
Telecom
Defence & Aerospace
Industrial Power Electronics
SiC wafers की demand बहुत तेजी से बढ़ रही है और India इस race में आगे निकलना चाहता है।

Sanand की OSAT facility और ISM 2.0 की तैयारी यह दिखाती है कि India सिर्फ technology user नहीं, बल्कि technology maker बनने की राह पर है।
