Google Mixboard Goes Global — AI Mood-Board Tool Now in 180+ Countries
Google is taking creativity global. The company has officially expanded its AI-powered mood-boarding tool, Mixboard, to more than 180 countries, allowing millions of new users to experiment with AI-driven visual brainstorming and design.
What Is Google Mixboard?
Originally launched in September 2025, Google Mixboard is an AI canvas that blends images, text, and idea generation tools into one workspace. Users can upload photos, sketch ideas, drop in notes, or ask Google’s AI models — including Gemini Nano and Banana — to generate visuals, remix designs, or refine creative concepts.
Think of it as a digital playground for visual thinkers — perfect for planning events, storyboarding, building mood boards, or designing concepts with minimal effort.
What’s New in the Global Rollout
With this global expansion, Mixboard now includes two major updates:

🖼️ Larger Boards: Boards are now four times bigger, offering more room for sketches, references, and notes.

🌍 Global Access: The tool is now available in over 180 countries, expanding beyond the U.S. and Europe to include users across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Google says users are already exploring Mixboard for a wide range of projects — from DIY builds and visual design to party planning and creative brainstorming.

Still in Google Labs — But Promising
Although Mixboard is still part of Google Labs, meaning it’s experimental, the experience is impressively intuitive. The interface feels like a hybrid of Canva and Notion, powered by Google’s Gemini AI for real-time creativity assistance.
Users can upload or create visuals, drag in text, and click “+” to generate new content with Gemini. Boards can be rearranged, exported, or shared easily — making Mixboard ideal for creators, students, designers, and content planners.
Importantly, Google clarifies that uploads are private by default and only used to train models if users opt in — a good privacy step for those working on early ideas.
Why It Matters
Mixboard shows how Google is redefining “search” for creativity. Instead of just finding ideas, users can now shape and visualize them with AI in real time.
