Apple Becomes Exclusive Broadcast Partner for Formula 1 in the U.S.
Apple and Formula 1® have officially joined forces in a groundbreaking five-year partnership that will bring exclusive Formula 1 coverage to Apple TV in the United States starting next year.
This major deal marks Apple’s most significant step yet into live sports streaming and builds on the success of F1: The Movie, the Apple Original Films blockbuster that became the highest-grossing sports movie of all time. Together, Apple and Formula 1 aim to deliver a more dynamic, interactive, and fan-first viewing experience unlike anything seen before.
Exclusive Coverage Across Every Race
Apple TV will broadcast every F1 Grand Prix, Sprint, Qualifying, and Practice session, giving fans complete access to the sport’s global calendar. Select races and all practice sessions will even stream for free in the Apple TV app throughout the season.
But Apple’s integration goes beyond TV. Fans can follow the action through Apple News, Apple Maps, Apple Music, and Apple Fitness+. The Apple Sports app will feature real-time race data, leaderboards, driver and constructor standings, and Live Activities on iPhone lock screens, providing constant engagement across devices.

Leaders Speak on the Partnership
“We’re thrilled to expand our relationship with Formula 1 and offer Apple TV subscribers front-row access to one of the fastest-growing sports on the planet,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s SVP of Services.
Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali added, “Apple’s innovation and global reach make them the perfect partner as we grow the sport in the U.S. We share a passion for storytelling and technology that connects fans to the excitement of Formula 1 year-round.”
F1: The Movie – A Global Hit
The partnership comes on the heels of F1: The Movie’s massive box office success. The film, starring Brad Pitt and co-produced by Lewis Hamilton, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Joseph Kosinski, has earned over $629 million worldwide, setting records as the highest-grossing sports film ever made. The movie will make its global streaming debut on Apple TV on December 12, 2025.
F1’s Rising Popularity in the U.S.
Formula 1’s fanbase continues to soar, with 52 million U.S. fans and a sharp rise among younger audiences — nearly half of new fans are aged 18–24, and over half are women. With Apple’s ecosystem backing F1’s next era, the sport’s reach and innovation in the U.S. are poised for even greater acceleration.
