Amazon Echo Show 8 (2025) Launched in India With 8.7-Inch Display, 13MP Camera, and AZ3 Pro Chipset at ₹23,999
Amazon has officially brought its latest smart display, the Echo Show 8 (2025), to India with a price tag of ₹23,999. Designed to act as the central control hub for smart homes, the new Echo Show focuses on smarter Alexa features, improved audio, and a more refined display experience.
Amazon has launched the Echo Show 8 (2025) in India at ₹23,999. The smart display features an 8.7-inch HD screen, a 13MP auto-framing camera, an AZ3 Pro chipset, and spatial audio. It also works as a built-in smart home hub with support for Zigbee and Matter, making it easier to control connected devices using Alexa.
The Echo Show 8 made its global debut at Amazon’s New York event last October, and the Indian variant largely mirrors the international model. While the device is compatible with Alexa+, the enhanced AI version of Alexa is yet to roll out in India, with no confirmed launch timeline so far.
Display and Design
The Echo Show 8 features an 8.7-inch edge-to-edge HD glass display with a resolution of 800 × 1340 pixels. It’s ideal for video calls, streaming shows, following recipes, or keeping an eye on your smart home devices. The display is paired with a speaker unit wrapped in a premium 3D knit fabric, allowing the device to blend effortlessly into modern homes, kitchens, or offices.
Performance and Audio
At its core, the smart display is powered by Amazon’s AZ3 Pro chipset, running on Vega OS. This combination promises quicker responses, smoother visuals, and more natural Alexa interactions.
For audio lovers, Amazon has stepped things up with a three-channel speaker system, which includes a 2.8-inch woofer and dual full-range drivers. The setup supports Spatial Audio and uses Automatic Room Adaptation (RAD) to fine-tune sound output based on room acoustics, ensuring balanced audio whether the device is placed in a bedroom, living room, or kitchen.

Smart Home and Connectivity
The Echo Show 8 doubles as a powerful smart home hub, offering built-in support for Zigbee, Matter over Wi-Fi, and Matter over Thread. This removes the need for a separate hub and lets users control lights, fans, ACs, TVs, geysers, and more using simple Alexa voice commands.
Connectivity is future-ready as well, thanks to Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, delivering faster and more reliable connections.
Camera and Home Monitoring
For video calls and home monitoring, the device is equipped with a 13-megapixel camera with auto-framing. Users can check in on family members or pets using Alexa’s Drop In feature, or view up to four live feeds from compatible security cameras and video doorbells directly on the display.
OmniSense and Smarter Alexa
One of the standout additions is OmniSense technology, which combines ultrasound and Wi-Fi radar to detect presence and fine motion. This allows Alexa to create smarter routines—such as automatically adjusting fans or ACs based on room temperature or triggering actions when someone enters or leaves a room—making the smart home experience more intuitive than ever.
Price and Availability in India
The Amazon Echo Show 8 (2025) is available in Graphite and Glacier White colour options at ₹23,999.
Alongside it, Amazon has also launched the Echo Show 11, featuring an 11-inch Full HD display, priced at ₹26,999. Both devices are powered by the AZ3 Pro chipset and include advanced sensors for a more personalised Alexa experience.
Customers can purchase the new Echo Show devices from Amazon.in Flipkart, as well as offline retail stores like Reliance Digital and Croma.
