Japanese consumer electronics brand AKAI has launched its new PowerView Series in India, combining QLED and 4K displays with advanced gaming and accessibility features. The lineup runs on Google TV powered by Android 14, making it one of the first Android 14-based smart TVs in the country.
The PowerView range starts with a 32-inch HD Ready model priced at ₹13,990, going up to a 75-inch QLED variant. A 43-inch 4K option caters to mid-range buyers.
Powered by the MediaTek MT9603 chipset, the TVs support HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG, and MEMC for sharper visuals, enhanced contrast, and smooth motion. Android 14 integration ensures regular updates, improved security, and deeper ecosystem connectivity.
“The AKAI PowerView TV goes beyond sharper screens and faster processors. With Google TV powered by Android 14 at its foundation, this is a television platform built for the future,” said Anurag Sharma, MD & CEO of AKAI India.
Key features include voice search with Google Assistant, personalised content recommendations, and seamless pairing with Google devices. Accessibility upgrades such as Dynamic Colour Correction, adjustable fonts, and enhanced subtitles cater to colour-impaired users and elderly audiences.
On the connectivity front, the TVs support Miracast and New Cast technologies for low-latency content sharing. The series also incorporates energy-efficient designs and a revamped, smoother on-screen display.
The AKAI PowerView Series will be available via major offline retailers and the company’s official site, akaiindia.in
