Android 16 QPR2 makes the Pixel 10 faster—tested and confirmed!
Google has released Android 16 QPR2, its second-biggest release, and now Pixel 10 users have better speeds. It’s not just new features.
Users have reported seeing a significant increase in speed. GPU speeds in heavy games have also been improved.
Benchmark Testing Before vs. After QPR2
Using the November 2025 build as a baseline, I updated to QPR2 and ran benchmarks again.
CPU Improvements
Single-core performance has also seen a slight increase, but by 2%.
Multi-core performance has seen better results, with approximately 5% improvement.
These gains may seem small, but when multitasking, they are felt; they contribute to stable performance.
PCMark Work Benchmark: Big Gains
Browsing, messaging, and document work have also been improved. Looking at this area, there has been an increase of approximately 19.7%. This increase may vary depending on the device model, but the difference won’t be significant.
Similar improvements have been observed before, but now the QPR2 update is delivering even better performance.
Graphics Performance: Noticeable Improvement
Looking at the 3DMark test, GPU performance has also improved.
+5% in Wildlife
+7% in Wildlife Extreme
Average GPU gain is around 6%
All these boosts mean the Google Pixel 10 won’t become the gaming king, but it is improving to some extent. Such as:
Higher peak frame rates ✔ï¸
Better sustained performance ✔ï¸
Less lag and jaggedness ✔ï¸
Some users reported even bigger improvements in OpenGL workloads, but this still needs further verification.
There’s no change in temperature, which means Google hasn’t compromised stability for speed.
System Stability and Responsiveness
In all tests, the phone now:
Stutters less
Apps load faster
Feels more responsive in everyday use
Final Verdict
So the Pixel 10 series runs faster, not because of a bigger boost, but because Google has:
More improvements came in November; QPR2 makes those improvements even better.
Fixed bugs
Stabilized peak performance
Slightly improved gaming smoothness
“My Pixel 10 Pro XL is definitely smoother than it was at launch—just don’t expect magic.â€
